What could be the cause of a loud humming noise from brand new DVDs in a DVD player?

 
I have recently received a complete set of Threes Company DVDs as a gift, and I noticed that they produce a very loud humming noise when I play them in my DVD player. The noise does not occur with other DVDs, and it persists even when I use a different DVD player. The DVDs are in perfect condition and they play without any issues. I am wondering what could be the reason for this noise and how I can fix it.
